Spitfire Comedy returns to Chicago, currently in the middle of a four-month run of shows. The all-female cast of performers bring a wide array of styles to the stage at the intimate Apollo, from observational comedy to the occasional piano-playing absurdist humor. Standup sets by the ladies of Spitfire are always professional and quick — the focus isn't on long sets but lots of short acts, allowing more bang for your comedy buck. Sadly, some recent Spitfire regulars have left the Windy City, but each show features special guests from the Chicago comedy scene, guaranteed to add more funny to an already stacked bill. (CN)
